The school is Both Nursery and Primary. It contains both Day and Boarding Section. It is located 15km from Masaka City on Masaka-Mbarara Road and 1.6km from the main road.

OUR STORY
Ngobya Memorial Nursery and Primary School started in 2009 by Nakaggwa Matilda Annet who was raised in an impoverished family and really struggled to get educated but was able to acquire it through school dependence and help from religious sisters until she graduated as a midwife.

Matilda always had the spirit of the needy children living in a similar childhood like she lived which kept haunting her despite having had a job as a midwife. In 2009, she was wholly determined to start a primary school which would later have her aching desire catered for.

Off her little salary, she rented two commercial rooms in Nkoni Trading center and this is where the school really started with only 9 children and 2 teachers, one qualified and the other not qualified who worked as a team to manage all chores. The enrollment was humbly rising and at a later stage, we had to locate another place as this could not accommodate us anymore. The new location was also in Nkoni but with wider space and this attracted more students, a full primary was born.

She started looking both locally and internationally for generous people who could help her acquire some land at least to establish a permanent premise.
Her call was answered through Theresa Pilplod from Sweden who single-handedly bought the big land at Kagganda-Lwengo district where the school is situated.

In 2013, she caught up with another team of sponsor from Belgium headed by Jos Deforche who started with donating a school van and doing renovations and have funded the construction of the premises we have today like the studying block, two dormitories and teachers resident home.

Our lovely children visited the Uganda Wildlife Education Center, Entebbe and saw a variety of wild animals on the 1st August 2024. This was a fun and educational experience to them.

On 1st August 2024, our children also toured Kasenyi Landing site where they were taught about different types of fish.

On 30th November 2024, our children of top class graduated from Nursery section to Primary section.

On 21/11/2024, some of our children participated in the Knowledge for children Reading competitions between Masaka and Lwengo District and the they emerged the overall winner out of 34 primary schools. They went away with a trophy.

I greet you in the Lord’s name and hereby introduce myself to you, I am Matilda Annet Nakaggwa founder and Director of Msgr. Ngobya Nursery and Primary School located in Kagganda Mbarara Road Lwengo district.
FUTURE PLANS
1. Construction of more dormitories to house the rising numbers of students.
2. Construction of a multipurpose building to comprise of a dining and Kitchen, prayer place, and a main hall.
3. Procurement of a school bus .
4. Excavating a borehole as a water back up.
5. Solar installation as a power back-up.
6. Enhance our IT Department.
7. Construction of an Administration structure.
8. Purchase of a brass band .
9. Construct a school clinic that will in turn benefit the entire community as well.
10. Install CCTV cameras to beef up security.
11. Construction of a perimeter wall.
12. To enrich our school library.
13. Train hands-on skills.

It is only 22USD for Accommodation and all meals per day including laudry work.
